Here at Als Kloster, it exudes history and cosiness, and it is this very special atmosphere that we want you to experience with us.
The headline is "the good life" - and we put in the effort to be good hosts, decorate with good style and serve good food made from scratch. In the long term, our kitchen will be based on raw materials from our own gardens. A monastery always has both a vegetable garden, an herb garden and an orchard - and we are in the process of re-establishing them.

The Area
Als Kloster located in scenic surroundings at the end of a road. There are 300 m to the water and the Gendarme Path and 500 m to Sønderskoven.

Als Kloster is 5 km from the center of Sønderborg and there is 3.5 km to Høruphav.
We offer stays in these beautiful rural surroundings, where there is an absolutely fantastic calm and atmosphere.
There is opportunity to enjoy nature, whether you are going for a run or for a quiet walk with a unique view of Høruphav.
The Gendarme Path
The Gendarme Path is an 84 kilometer coastal hiking route along the Danish-German border, and it goes almost straight through our backyard.
It is one of Denmark's most beautiful coastal hiking routes. The varied landscape that winds along the fjord shores offers both a rich animal and plant life, many interesting biotopes and a completely unique history.
