Here at Als Kloster, it exudes history and cosiness, and it is this very special atmosphere that we want you to experience with us.
The headline is "the good life" - and we put in the effort to be good hosts, decorate with good style and serve good food made from scratch. In the long term, our kitchen will be based on raw materials from our own gardens. A monastery always has both a vegetable garden, an herb garden and an orchard - and we are in the process of re-establishing them.
Whether you walk, cycle, sail or drive here, we are ready to welcome you.

Dining During Your Stay
When you stay at Als Kloster, you're free to choose the level of catering that suits you best. Stay without meals, or opt for breakfast, half board or full board.
All our meals are prepared in our kitchen, which we like to think of as a country kitchen in both style and spirit. We cook honest food from scratch, baking our own bread, preserving seasonal produce and using quality ingredients – preferably local, organic and, whenever possible, harvested from our own garden.
Breakfast
The breakfast for our hotel guests consists of freshly baked rolls, cheese, jam, cold cuts from Als Pølser, local applejuice, coffee/tea, and the kitchen always comes up with a little something extra.
Breakfast is served on weekdays from 7 am and on weekends from 8 am.
Breakfast costs DKK 100 per person and is only for our hotel guests.
Lunch to go
If you are going hiking or on a trip, we are happy to pack a nice lunch bag for you to take with you.
The contents vary slightly, but you can basically count on a whole-grain sandwich with delicious filling, a green element such as a crunchy green or a piece of fruit, a sweet ending and a drink.
Remember to order your lunch bag no later than 8 pm the day before. The price is DKK 100 per person, and the lunch bags are only for our overnight guests.
Afternoon cake
When the afternoon rolls around 3 pm, the kitchen is ready with today's cake.
For this, you can choose freshly brewed coffee or a good cup of tea - and if you don't like either of these, you can charm us into exchanging it for a soda/fruit juice.
We have coffee/tea and cake for DKK 80 per person, and it is only for our overnight guests.
Dinner
We offer dinner most days of the year. We eat at 7 pm, and if you fancy a welcome drink, the bar opens at 6:30 pm.
The chef sets the menu, and there is always a starter and a main course for DKK 265 per person. If you have room for more, you can purchase a dessert for DKK 65.
On days when we don't have dinner, we have good take away connections, and there are also plenty of lovely restaurants in Sønderborg. We are always ready to help and guide.
