Here at Als Kloster, it exudes history and cosiness, and it is this very special atmosphere that we want you to experience with us.
The headline is "the good life" - and we put in the effort to be good hosts, decorate with good style and serve good food made from scratch. In the long term, our kitchen will be based on raw materials from our own gardens. A monastery always has both a vegetable garden, an herb garden and an orchard - and we are in the process of re-establishing them.
Whether you walk, cycle, sail or drive here, we are ready to welcome you.

If you have seen the "Badehotellet" and think it looks cosy when the guests meet in the dining room - you will also think it is cosy to eat breakfast here at the monastery. Our dining room and the way it is done is almost like something out of a movie.
On most days "Abbedissen" opens during the day. Abbedissen is our cosy clone of a bar, café and restaurant - see more below.
Breakfast
The breakfast for our hotel guests consists of freshly baked rolls, cheese, jam, cold cuts from Als Pølser, local must, coffee/tea, and the kitchen always comes up with a little something extra.
Breakfast is served on weekdays from 07:00 and on weekends from 08:00.
Breakfast costs DKK 100 per person and is only for our hotel guests.
Lunch to go
If you stay with us, it is possible to have a packed "lunch-to-go", which means that it is ready to take with you on today's hike, or whatever is on the agenda.
The content varies from day to day, but you can basically count on there being some kind of coarse sandwich with delicious filling, a green element such as a salad or various greens, and a little sweet rounding off.
A lunch-to-go costs DKK 100 per person and is only for our hotel guests.
Dinner
In the sisters' old library we have Abbedissen, a cozy fusion of a bar, a café and a restaurant. Here you can have a delicious cup of coffee, a good drink or a good meal.
Our dinner is open to everyone, and you just need to reserve a table before 12 noon on the day.
On the days when Abbedissen is closed, there are fortunately plenty of lovely restaurants and delis in Sønderborg and the surrounding area. We are happy to guide you.
