Here at Als Kloster, it exudes history and cosiness, and it is this very special atmosphere that we want you to experience with us.
The headline is "the good life" - and we put in the effort to be good hosts, decorate with good style and serve good food made from scratch. In the long term, our kitchen will be based on raw materials from our own gardens. A monastery always has both a vegetable garden, an herb garden and an orchard - and we are in the process of re-establishing them.

Christmas lunch 2023
If you are a small company, a card club or, for example, a group of friends who need a cozy place to hold a Christmas lunch - then come happily to the monastery on one of the following evenings:

There are 40 places per arrangement, and of course you sit together at your own table. We start at 18.00and ends at midnight.

In the monastery kitchen, we focus on honest food with good taste and quality. With us, for example, you don't get a finished remoulade poured into a bowl - we bake, pickle and make the things ourselves. If you appreciate home-cooked food, we are sure that you will like our Christmas lunch.

If there are six people or less, you can reserve a table directly via our website. If there are more of you - contact us via reception@alskloster.dk or call 20 45 45 37 - and we will look at the possibilities together. Remember, if you are more than 20 people, you are enough to get your own company, and that way other dates can also come into play.

The monastery's Christmas tartlet with chicken and green asparagus

Glazed Christmas ham with oven-baked balsamic beetroot

Duck breast with Cumberland sauce and orange salad

Warm liver pâté with mushrooms, bacon and delicious jam

Cabbage sausages with mustard, collard greens and small brown potatoes

Rice salamander with twisted topping

A couple of good cheeses with pickled plums, honey marinated nuts and home-baked shortbread
